Karina Timmel’s account experience with KCPR includes work with health & wellness, fashion, retail and hospitality clients, including The Fresh Market, Natural Body Spa & Shoppe, OKA b. shoes, Affairs to Remember Caterers, Dressed restaurant and Our Home In Paris. Timmel handles national and local media relations programs, partnership marketing, event planning, and assists in PR and marketing campaigns on behalf of her clients.

Prior to joining KCPR, Timmel was Assistant Beauty and Fashion Editor at Health magazine, where she was responsible for creating monthly editorial lineups, writing articles, producing special projects features, and serving as travel correspondent. Her responsibilities included researching market trends and story ideas for her section, and representing the publication at industry events.

In addition to Health magazine, Timmel worked for InStyle Specials and Elite Traveler magazine, and has written articles for various publications, including Private Air, Delta Sky and Marie Claire.

Timmel graduated from New York University with a B.S. in Communication Studies and a concentration in Interpersonal Communications. She served on the Lambda Pi Eta executive committee, the communications honors society, and received the Ida Bodman Service Award in recognition of leadership in school activities.
